ADA compliance statement

Last updated September 2026

Aviation Cadet Museum, Inc. is committed to making both this website and our live show usable by everyone, including visitors with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA, the standard referenced under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

What we do on this website

  • Semantic headings, landmarks and a “skip to content” link on every page.
  • Full keyboard operation, with a visible focus outline on every control.
  • Text alternatives for images, and decorative graphics hidden from screen readers.
  • Color contrast tested against WCAG AA for body text, labels and buttons.
  • Tap targets sized for one-handed mobile use.
  • Videos play only when you choose to start them — nothing auto-plays with sound.
  • Content in 17 languages, with correct language and reading-direction markup.
  • Layouts that reflow to 320px and support browser zoom to 200% without loss.

Visiting the museum in person

Silver Wings Field is a working grass airfield, so some surfaces are uneven turf and gravel. The hangar, briefing area and the SimCab flight simulator are reached at ground level. Climbing into aircraft cockpits is optional and never required to enjoy the show. The show is narrated live, so if a guest is deaf or hard of hearing, tell us in advance and we will provide a printed script and seat you where you can see the presenter clearly.

Service animals are welcome. Companions of guests who need assistance are welcome at no extra charge for wheelchair pushing or guiding.

Request an accommodation

Call 479-253-5008 when you book and we will plan the visit around your needs — seating, pacing, quieter engine demonstrations, or extra time between segments.

Report a barrier

If any part of this site or the museum experience is difficult to use, we want to hear about it. Call 479-253-5008 or write to Aviation Cadet Museum, Inc., 542 CR 2073, Eureka Springs, AR 72632. Tell us the page or the part of the visit involved and how you were blocked. We respond to accessibility reports within five business days and treat them as priority fixes.

Ongoing effort

Accessibility is not a one-time project. We review this site whenever we add a section, and we welcome feedback from assistive-technology users. Some third-party content — embedded YouTube players, the ticketing checkout and the review platform — is controlled by those providers, and we cannot guarantee their accessibility. If one of them blocks you, call us and we will complete the task with you by phone.
